The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented by the Board of Directors to nominees meeting criteria documenting their long-standing service to both ALGA and the local government auditing community. 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award Winners Elizabeth C. Moore Liz retired from the City of Memphis, TN Internal Audit Service Center in April 2011. Liz served as an ALGA Board Member and as the Education Committee Chairperson. Liz led and worked on major education initiatives such as regional training conferences, online peer review training, continuing professional education quizzers, and the education web page. Doug Norman Doug retired from the City of Portland Auditor's Office, Audit Services Division in December 2010. Doug served as the Peer Review Committee Chairperson from 1989 to 2001, during which time he pioneered ALGA's Peer Review program. He developed the first processes for member offices to undergo peer reviews, and keyed those processes to current standards, and led the efforts to professionalize ALGA peer reviews. Albert Scaperotto Al retired from the City of Philadelphia, PA Controller's Office in July 2010. Al was a founding member of ALGA, and was ALGA's first Treasurer, a position he held from 1989 to 1994. He was also an active participant in many of ALGA's professional endeavors, including the Knighton Award. Past Recipients 2010
